Dr. Ramirez serves as the Associate Department Head for the Department of Teacher Education and the Program Coordinator for the Elementary Education Program. She also co-directs the Ireland Study Abroad program in partnership with Southeast Technological University in Waterford, Ireland, and mentors future teacher leaders through the Sullivan Scholarship Program. In each of these roles, she emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and relational leadership as central to preparing teacher candidates for meaningful and impactful careers. Across her career as an elementary classroom teacher, teacher educator, and academic leader, Dr. Ramirez has remained deeply committed to integrating theory and practice. Her work continues to prepare teachers who approach science and education with curiosity, care, and a strong commitment to equity and advocacy for all learners.
